Hello all... thanks for reading; I appreciate your comments.

@Natalie: Grazie Natalie! The community is lucky to have your passion for enjoying, educating, selling, writing about -- & now spending a year in Italy to learn more -- eating slow.

@Ty: mwah!

@Rebekah: I hear you. :) There are options to replace gluten, cow dairy & beef. Still pretty heartbroken over tomatoes. Love roasted red peppers, but nothing replaces the joy of a farm-fresh, at peak ripeness, never-refrigerated tomato.

@Beth: Lo♥e Joel & Delphine, Joel plays piano at our wine bar Kazimierz Monday nights and Delphine has perfomed at Kaz in the past as well. I believe Luci's really aims to please their guests & if you had told/shown them the burger was too overcooked for you, they would have cheerfully prepared you a new one.

I thought the place, Luci's, was clean, attractive and the menu very adequate, but the hamburger that I ordered was too well done for medium, dry and tasteless. The fries were greasy and slimy, without seasoning.
We did, however enjoy the mocha brownies, coffee and ice tea.
The highlite of the evening was listening to the musical genius of Delphine and Joel. They are local artists that are talented and gracious and made our nite! Many thanks to Luci for having the good sense to have Delphine and Joel and I hope they continue this venue for a long time. Maybe the next time we come for dinner, the food will be tastier.

Mari -

You are the first person I have heard about having an allergy to tomatoes. I too have suffered from this and it is so discouraging sometimes. Have you found any replacement for your tomatoes? I am allergic to tomatoes, dairy, carrots, apples and corn. I pass by Luci's every day on my way to work, I should stop by sometime. Thanks for sharing.

1. I've always loved your writing. I remember our late night (1am) meetings working side by side. Ahhh the good 'ol days!

2. Luci's sounds like a gem. You can bet I want to visit it this week. Great to read about allergy-friendly options. Only a boutique place could offer such service.

Ciao, Mari!

Mari you wrote this so well you almost made me want to go gluten-free! I do love Luci's- they were so kind to us when we were opening the Urban Grocery. What great neighbors to have and I just love this small community!
